The inspiration for this complex fragrance was taken from the prolific period of Arles and Saint-Rémy.
The fragrance opens with the nutty sweet and fresh combination of almond and citrus. The heart of this fragrance transitions into a spicy green floral dominated by lavender, cypress and rosewood. A deep, rich finish that is earthy, powdery and green is created by the combination of Oakmoss, Orcanox, and Vetiver. We have looked at every aspect of performance and made improvements across the board. This soap loads extremely fast, builds lather effortlessly, is obscenely slick, and will leave your face feeling soft, supple, and rejuvenated. Be careful…The lather is explosive! Note: This LE version contains Sodium Hyaluronate, the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid. It has a much lower molucular weight than HA and will penetrade the Epidermis. Hydrates, plumps, softens from the inside. Meant to be face lathered!

Bluegrass Muse is the first installment of our EPICureal collection. It is our attempt at deconstructing the aromas of food and beverage. This first iteration is the Kentucky Mule cocktail. This is a collaboration with the good gents @ bbs.live. How would we describe this fragrance? It is BOOZY, but not in a brash in your face way. The lime is very unique and forward. Anyone who is familiar with Southeast Asian cuisine should be familiar with Kaffir Lime. It has a depth and complexity far beyond your typical lime essential oil. Ginger had to be a player due to the ginger beer element in the cocktail, but we wanted to make sure the spice component was a bit more nuanced. To achieve this, we added Coriander, and Cardamom to the Ginger forward spice elements. Finally we wanted to give the fragrance a nice deep woodsy and slightly sweet finish which the Oak and Benzoin pulled off perfectly. We hope you enjoy! Cheers!

It is a mashup of Musashi and Ernest with a few minor tweaks. The uniquely fresh open of Musashi is present with the slight added sweetness of the mango and citrus from Ernest. The warmer elements of the dry down in Ernest bring a comforting richness that help anchor this a bit for use in the cooler months as well.

Not finding exactly what he is looking for and about to give up he stumbles into a bar in 20th century Havana. He sits down at the bar and strikes up a conversation with an author, adventurer and rum aficionado named Ernest. Over a long weekend, many Daiquiris and a few fine cigars they distill the essence of summer. To show his appreciation, Musashi agrees to name their creation after Ernest’s estate on the outskirts of Havana - Finca Vigía. Musashi arrives back in 17th century Japan just in time to save summer and share their creation with the people!

The fresh open transforms with the rich complexity of Lapsang Suchong tea. The uniqueness of this tea cannot be overstated. The tea is smoke dried over pine wood creating an effect that adds a hint of wood smoke and resin to the depth of black tea. The floral combo of Neroli and Violet keep the fragrance light and fresh extending the lift from the citrus open.
An exotic mix of black pepper and saffron create a luxurious creamy, warm spiced effect that leads into a comforting woody finish.

In our first collaboration Bluegrass Muse, we tackled the classic Kentucky Mule and created a fantastic boozy, spiced lime fragrance. This time around we dove into the combo of passion fruit and Timur pepper.
PASSION POIVRÉE (Passio Pwah Vrey) is an exploration in contrasts. It’s playful and splashy, yet sophisticated. It’s fire and ice; a frozen cocktail on a sun drenched tropical beach. This is a passion fruit forward fragrance that opens fresh and spicy. Bergamot, Grapefruit and Lemon Zest compliment tropical and tangy passion fruit. Ginger and Timur pepper highlight and accentuate the zesty citrus and fruity nuances while adding a distinctive spicy and peppery facet. Green apple extends the tart, fruity elements while saffron introduces us to the seductive dry down. The finish is intimate and exotic with elements leather, amber, and woods. When Sean, the founder of Carbon shaving approached us about collaborating on a fragrance, Damascus kept coming up. As a designer of heirloom quality razors, he had utilized the modern form of Damascus steel in some of his pieces of functional artwork. With the popularity of our “origin” series perfumes like Musashi and Sidama, the ancient city of Damascus also beckoned. We decided to develop this new original fragrance as an homage to the famous steel, the city and its storied markets.
The colors, design, and illustrations serve to highlight the beauty and history of Damascus steel, while the fragrance itself transports the wearer to the ancient city and its markets.
