Introducing Musashi an original fragrance from Gentleman's Nod. This is the first offering in a new "Origins" series, featuring a fragrance developed around a single note or accord.

The fragrance is inteded to invoke feelings of walking from an isolated coastal region with the fresh zest of citrus and sweetness of Nashi pear. As you move inland and into slightly higher elevations, Jasmine Tea, florals and spice dominate the fragrance. Ultimately as your journey continues into yet higher, forested elevations the fragrance again transforms into a more earthy and woodsy mix reminiscent of the damp forest floor and ancient firs.

We invite you to explore this beautiful fragrance developed around a heart of Jasmine Tea with the accompanying notes stemming from an Asian origin with Japan in particular.

Sunlit citrus meets pine-smoked tea

Kensei is a study in contrast - radiant citrus, delicate florals, smoked tea, and warm woods woven into a scent that feels both uplifting and composed. It opens with the sparkling brightness of blood orange, yuzu, and yellow mandarin, softened by the crisp sweetness of Nashi pear.

At the heart, Lapsang Souchong tea adds its unmistakable signature: black tea deepened by a whisper of pine-smoked woods and resin. Neroli and violet keep the composition airy and luminous, while black pepper and saffron bring a smooth, exotic warmth.

As it dries down, cedarwood, fir balsam, amberwood, vetiver, and cypriol create a woody finish that is comforting, refined, and quietly magnetic. Fresh at first breath, deeper with every hour, Kensei is elegance with an edge.

Ernest was my “first love” in our line of product aromas and so, fittingly it is first released in our core line up of fragrances.

Created for adventurers, novelists, rum and cigar aficionado’s of all kinds. We took the inspiration for this fragrance from the Key West and Cuba days. Rumor has it that when attempting to catch a monster fish - sometimes it takes 85 days!
