(Batch 2 coming 10/15) When Sean, the founder of Carbon shaving approached us about collaborating on a fragrance, Damascus kept coming up. As a designer of heirloom quality razors, he had utilized the modern form of Damascus steel in some of his pieces of functional artwork. With the popularity of our “origin” series perfumes like Musashi and Sidama, the ancient city of Damascus also beckoned. We decided to develop this new original fragrance as an homage to the famous steel, the city and its storied markets.
The colors, design, and illustrations serve to highlight the beauty and history of Damascus steel, while the fragrance itself transports the wearer to the ancient city and its markets.

A trio of spices (black pepper, cardamom, and saffron) dance with the creamy sweetness of Fig for a warm and sensual open. This spiced open has a honeyed hay subtlety with just a hint of leather and smoke. The honeyed thread persists and leads seamlessly into an exotic heart where the spices whirl around with complex florals and dried fruits (orris, davana, rose de grasse). Damascus dries down to a warm, sensual, and elegant finish. The composition is nothing short of magical in its interplay as an ambrée both woody and spicy. The actual expression is a masterfully executed composition of woods, spices, musk, leather and smoke.

Sidama X is a bold reimagining of our original Sidama fragrance—an independent category finalist in the 2023 Art & Olfaction Awards—now transformed into a richer, chocolate‑forward experience inspired by ancient tradition and modern refinement.
This indulgent composition draws from the storied origins of xocolātl, the spiced drinking chocolate crafted by the Maya and embraced by the Aztecs. Fermented cacao, sun‑dried and ground to perfection, infused with chili heat, cinnamon warmth, and natural sweetness—those roots inspired the heart of Sidama X.
In this elevated variation, the coffee tones of the original step back, allowing a lush wave of semi‑sweet dark chocolate to take center stage. A subtle boozy warmth enriches the blend, while a vibrant chili pepper kick adds energy and intrigue. Instead of vanilla, we chose resinous, woody benzoin to echo the character of the first Sidama fragrance and anchor the sweetness with depth.

MizuKaze—meaning “fresh wind”—captures the crisp purity of a first snowfall in the mountains of Japan. This winter‑inspired evolution of our beloved Musashi fragrance distills the serene magic of icy air moving through towering Japanese pine and fir trees, transforming it into an invigorating olfactory journey.
We began by amplifying the cool, refreshing character with an energizing trio of peppermint, rosemary, and juniper. To deepen the complexity, we introduced rare blue ginger oil, celebrated for its spicy‑citrus brightness and soft floral nuance. The floral heart shifts to soothing lavender, reinforcing the clean, cooling atmosphere that defines MizuKaze.
At its center lies silver needle white tea, one of the world’s most prized teas, once reserved exclusively for royalty. Crafted from young, silvery buds, it brings a delicate, honey‑kissed floral elegance that elevates the entire composition.
